Having breakfast on the balcony, just letting your legs dangle after work, or relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening - a dream if you have a balcony and it also invites you to relax. Unfortunately, the structural conditions are not always like this, especially when it comes to an old building. But even in prefabricated buildings, the balconies are more functional than comfortable. That's why I put this little guide together for you to give you ideas - so that your balcony can also become a cozy chill-out zone.
Fresh paint on the ceiling and walls
Before you start setting up and decorating, get an idea of the balcony facade. Do the walls still look good, or does the brush have to be swung first? If you want or need to paint, choose light colors that make the balcony look larger.
The same applies to the balcony ceiling. The more previous tenants you had, the more layers of paint you will find - the paint may already be peeling off. If stroking overhead is too tedious for you, ceiling paneling is also an option.

Whether it will be really cozy on your balcony naturally also depends on how you design your balcony floor. One often finds a drab, gray concrete floor that is far removed from beauty and homeliness. So that there are no problems with the statics,it is better to do without heavy tiles or porcelain stoneware. Alternatively, click tiles made of wood or WPC are possible, but my personal favorite is and remains artificial turf. Since there isn't that much space on a balcony, you should avoid bulky balcony furniture. Rather choose something subtle and coordinate with the wall color.

It has to be nice and cozy on the balcony, especially if you also want to spend the evenings there. Whether brightly colored cushions or rather tone on tone is up to your taste. Both variants bring comfort, the main thing is that you don't skimp on pillows and there should be at least one blanket.
Harmony with plants
Flowers are a must on every balcony, they literally give the loggia the perfect setting. So that everything grows and thrives, you should first consider how much sun your balcony gets every day and then choose the plants:
