Pests on cherries - 2 tips

Anonim

Cherries in your own garden are wonderful to look at in spring with their magnificent cherry blossoms and are particularly welcome in summer with delicious fruits. So that it stays that way, here are our tips if pests are spreading in the cherries.

  1. Infestation with top drought, a fungus, is particularly found on sour cherries. The pathogens penetrate through the blossom into the wood and damage blossoms, leaves and shoots. Here, up to ten centimeters should be cut into the he althy wood and the shoots should be disposed of separately. If fruits are already infested, this is reflected in a white layer of mold. These fruits like to fall to the ground on their own. There, however, they should be collected immediately to prevent them from spreading.
  2. Another pest of cherries is the aphid, which sucks the leaves. These dry up and curl up. Honeydew settles in there and sticks everything together. Here, too, you should generously cut off the affected areas, and remove immediately what is on the ground.
