If you still want to harvest lettuce in autumn, don't miss the sowing times. Read here when lettuce, lettuce and co. have to be planted.

To get a better overview, here is a small list:
Sowing until the end of July: Lettuce, radicchio and sugar loaf lettuce
Sowing until early August: lettuce, iceberg lettuce, endive
Sowing until the beginning of September: Lamb's lettuce, Asian salads
Planting until the end of Augustt: Lettuce, picking lettuce, radicchio, sugar loaf lettuce, iceberg lettuce
Planting until early September: Lamb's lettuce
You can harvest many of the lettuce mentioned from the middle to the end of September or from October. Most of the lettuce should then be harvested fairly quickly, with the exception of endive, which can be harvested until frost, and radicchio and lamb's lettuce, both of which don't even mind the winter and can be harvested until spring. Always ensure adequate protection against snails and rabbits.
