The use of chemical fertilizers in the garden should always be absolutely taboo. You should rather use compost or improve your garden soil in a completely different way - namely with green manure. With a special planting you can easily improve the soil in your garden. We will now explain to you step by step how you can carry out such a foundation for soil improvement.
Instructions for making a green manure
➤ Step 1 - Buy soil mix:
There are many plants that not only look beautiful, but also improve the soil. This includes, for example, the blue lupine. It ensures optimal soil ventilation. The cultivation of yellow mustard, on the other hand, reduces the growth of weeds in the garden bed and at the same time promotes fertility. The marigolds also have a positive effect on soil fatigue and the intensive root system of the phaecelia as well as that of the lucerne or buckwheat loosen the soil for a long time. But green manure with clover is also possible.
Of course there are many other plants that help improve the soil. Therefore, special soil treatment mixtures containing a wide variety of plants are now even being offered in specialist gardening shops. Some of these have quite colorful flowers, so that their sowing is also recommended optically. The mixtures are available, for example, with marigolds, marigolds, rudbeckia and gaillardia.

➤ Step 3 - Incorporate plants into the soil in spring:
In general, soil cures are only applied once a year. An exception is the violet flowering alfalfa, which can remain in the garden for up to three years as a lawn replacement. However, most of the regularly offered soil cures (often also offered under the name "soil doctor") are not hardy, so they freeze back by themselves due to the winter frost. This in turn offers a great advantage: You can work the plant remains into the garden soil in the spring. In this way they provide the soil with many important nutrients (comparable to hummus).
