Propagating garden hibiscus with seeds - 3 ways
1. The garden hibiscus seeds itself out. Therefore, keep an eye out for young plants under your existing shrubs. In this case, simply dig up the seedlings and plant them in their intended location. First, carefully loosen the soil under the bush and carefully pull out the young plants.
2. The seeds can also be sown outdoors in autumn. They remain in the seedbed over winter. The growing area is prepared with seed soil, then the seeds are laid out on this special soil. Then cover the seed with a half centimeter thick layer of dry seed compost and gently moisten the compost with water.The hibiscus grown from seed does not necessarily have the appearance of the mother plant. 3. You can also sow the hibiscus indoors in the seed box in mid-March. To do this, fill the box with seed soil and then moisten it. Now put your hibiscus seeds on it. Finally, cover the seed with half a centimeter thick layer of seed compost and spray it carefully with water. Place the seed box in a bright place. However, you should avoid direct sunlight. Keep the seed compost moist until the seeds germinate in about 2 to 3 weeks.
