You have to take care of the autumn crocus for a full bloom. Plant in July or August. After flowering, you can transplant them.

The right location is important
Autumn crocuses want a sunny location and prefer nutrient-rich, moist and calcareous soil. That is why they thrive very well in meadows and on embankments. The location must also be sheltered from the wind. If these conditions are met, the plant will spread very quickly.
The autumn crocus grows from a bulb and is therefore very easy to grow. To do this, you simply have to put the onion five to ten centimeters deep in the ground, whereby propagation via seeds is also possible. However, this takes longer.
How to plant autumn crocuses
It is best to plant the autumn crocus in July or August. The planting distance should be 10 to 25 centimeters. They also need an evenly wet soil, which is why you still have to water the plants diligently in autumn when it doesn't rain.
Move after flowering
When the plant has faded, you can move it. You should let them bloom beforehand. However, caution is advised here, because the plants should only be touched with gardening gloves, as they are slightly poisonous.
