Garlic Butter Basic Recipe
Ingredients:
- regular butter
- Garlic cloves to taste
- S alt
- pepper
- Herbs to taste
Preparation:
» Step 1:
To prepare the garlic butter, you need softened butter. So take the butter out of the fridge well in advance so that it can come to room temperature.
» Step 2:
Once the butter has reached room temperature, it can be easily crushed with a fork. Knead this until you get a smooth mass. Then season the butter with s alt and pepper. The spices need to be evenly incorporated into the butter so that some parts of the butter don't taste much s altier than others.
» Step 3:
Now peel and chop the garlic cloves. Of course, if you have a garlic press, you can use that. Otherwise, simply cut the garlic into fine cubes with a knife.
So that the garlic becomes nice and soft, add a little s alt and mash it with the flat side of a knife. Then mix the mixture into the butter with a fork and spread it evenly.
» Step 4:
If you like fresh herbs, you can also work them in afterwards. It all depends on which herbs you like. Parsley, chives and thyme, for example, taste particularly delicious.
» Step 5:
Once the garlic butter is ready, you can shape it into an attractive shape. For example, you can shape them into a roll and slice them. Or you can use small cookie cutters for shaping. This looks particularly original and appetizing.
Tip: You can also freeze the garlic butter in small portions. So you always have some at hand.
