Many gardeners swear by the moon and only garden at certain times. If you also believe in the power of the moon, you should read on here.

Tip: Always remember that no gardening should be done on days when there are no garden symbols in the lunar calendar.
Moon position crucial
Gardening by the moon is an age-old tradition that has defined outdoor activities for centuries. Especially in the past, people paid much more attention to the moon and nature and so most of the tips are also age-old advice. This aspect plays an important role, especially in connection with pest control.
Everything that has to do with water or liquids is said to be influenced by the moon, at least that's the assumption of all "moon gardeners". The respective position of the moon is always decisive as to whether watering is necessary or not. Like the sun, the moon is sometimes higher and sometimes lower. This position has nothing to do with the waxing or waning moon, which is often confused.
Gardening by the Moon Examples

- descending moon:
good planting time for vegetables (also harvest), perennials and trees
- rising moon
good harvest time for fruits, flowers and leaves
You can read more about the relationship between the moon and the garden in the book The Living Garden: Gardening at the Right Time - In Harmony with the Rhythms of the Moon and Natureread.
