A vegetable garden is not only he althy, it can also be fun. However, you should make sure that you can harvest the vegetables later. It's inconvenient if you have to step into the bed, so make paths in the vegetable garden to save yourself the acrobatic contortions.
1. The main path made of concrete slabs
You can lay the main path out of one or more concrete slabs, for example. That way you don't step in the muddy soil when the vegetable garden has just had a downpour. The panels are very stable and can also visually separate the garden.
2. Wooden boards as a path in the vegetable garden
An easy way to create a path in the garden is with wooden planks. They are a natural building material and adapt ideally to the appearance of the garden. In rainy weather, however, the boards can be slippery and they are nowhere near as stable as the concrete slabs. They are recommended as a visual separation or as a step between the beds, but not as a main route.
3. Bark mulch or solid dirt path
Bark mulch is also suitable for a vegetable garden, but large pieces of bark must be used here, otherwise the particles will rot too quickly. Sometimes, however, a simple and solid dirt path is sufficient for a hobby gardener.
