Conservatories are often made of clear glass. Of course, you also want to be able to see outside. However, clear glass is also offered again and again in greenhouses and there it is more than unfavorable.
Too much sun damages the plants
There is a reason why the glass here is usually milky, i.e. opaque. The sun can shine through clear glass and can burn delicate flowers. With the so-called double-skin sheets, which are often used, the sunlight is scattered. In this way, the sun's rays are no longer bundled and can no longer damage the plants, but are distributed evenly.
Provide shade with clear glass
Therefore, the top priority should be that you provide shade when using clear glass. Blinds are then absolutely necessary. You should also pay attention to this when building a patio roof. Avoid clear glass here too! Not only could this cause problems with the plants, but you also end up spending a lot more money because you have to provide shade - even if it actually looks better with clear glass.
