The aromatic flowers are being used more and more often in the kitchen. Not only do you get various herbal mixtures with lavender, but you can also make desserts, ice cream and creams from the popular plant.
Lavender lemonade in particular is gaining more and more fans as it is a refreshing drink with a taste all of its own. It's quick to make with just a few ingredients.
Lavender Lemonade - Enjoy like the French
Lavender lemonade is very popular, especially in France, where Provence is considered a lavender stronghold.
If you want to bring that holiday feeling home, you need lemonade for 4 servings of lavender:
- 250 g sugar
- 2 tablespoons dried or fresh lavender flowers
- 1 organic lemon
- 1 liter of water
➥ Preparation:
❶ Squeeze the lemon vigorously, reserving the juice.
❷ Put the mashed fruit in a saucepan with the water and sugar and bring the mixture to a boil.
❸ Then add the lemon juice and lavender flowers. Mix everything well and let cool. Then strain the mass.
❹ Mix the finished lemonade with ice water or sparkling mineral water, depending on your taste. You can also add some mint to the pot or simply use limes instead of lemons. With the lavender lemonade, you can vary the ingredients depending on what you like. Give it a try and enjoy your homemade soda.
