Grilling is one of the most popular summer activities. Many even barbecue all year round. But if there are only sausages and steaks on the grill and vegetarians/vegans just nibble on bread, boredom sets in quickly. Various types of vegetables, which can be grilled wonderfully and seasoned in many ways, provide variety on the grill. Celeriac is ideal for a barbecue evening and is quickly prepared. For Grilled Celery you will need:
- 1 bulb of celery
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- Oil for brushing
- Spices of your choice
- Standard Seasoning S alt and Pepper
- optional 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Preparation:
1 First, peel the celery and cut it into slices about 1 cm thick. Bring some s alted water with the vinegar to a boil in a saucepan and let the slices cook for about 6 - 8 minutes. Don't let the celery get too soft or it will fall apart on the grill.
2 After cooling, brush both sides of the slices with oil and season with s alt and pepper. Other spices, fresh herbs such as thyme or chopped walnuts, garlic and lemon juice also go very well with it.
3 Leave the seasoned slices to soak for about 30 minutes before putting them on the grill. After about 8 minutes, the delicious side dish is ready.
