When fighting snails, you should avoid using chemicals if possible. Try homeopathy instead! Helix tosta is the magic word here.
Snails are a real nightmare for many hobby gardeners, which is why they should be combated in a targeted manner. Best of all, however, without having to attack the garden plants with the chemical club. This applies above all to the salad plants that are popular in the garden and are intended for consumption. It is better if you use natural means here.
Our tip: Just use homeopathy, especially Helix tosta, against snails! This is also an effective remedy against the annoying pests in the garden. Read here what exactly Helix tosta is and how to use this homeopathic remedy correctly against snails.
Helix tosta: globules to fight snails
You should always use the globules Helix tosta (potency D6) to ward off snails. This homeopathic remedy is made from roasted Roman snail shells and is even available in the form of drops in pharmacies without a prescription.
But beware:
Helix tosta fights snails mainly in lettuce, but not on all types of vegetables and other flowering plants!
Use Helix tosta correctly
To combat snails, you must dissolve either 5 globules or 10 milliliter drops in about 10 liters of water. Then leave the mixture to stand for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight. The next day, stir the irrigation water well and use it to spray the lettuce plants that are still young.
» Tip:
Ideally, repeat this harmless snail control regularly at intervals of about 3 weeks until the lettuce plants are ready to harvest.
If the desired effect of Helix tosta does not occur at the beginning of the treatment, you certainly don't have to wait until the snails have eaten all your plants. Rather, you should then tackle the snail plague with other natural slug control agents (e.g. slug pellets, beer traps, etc.).
