  1. Mound the early potatoes. When the sprouts of the new potatoes protrude about 10 centimeters from the ground, they should be covered with soil to just below the sprouts.
  2. Plant outdoor cucumbers. In May, the outdoor cucumbers are planted outdoors. For this purpose, the bed should be covered with a mulch film about two weeks in advance.
  3. Put the celery outside. The early young plants of the celery should be brought outdoors by mid-May at the latest. Vegetables like moist, nutrient-rich soil.
  4. Sow annual herbs. Dill, marjoram and chervil, i.e. herbs that only grow for one year, should be sown every three to four weeks from the beginning of May to the end of July, either in a separate bed or in free spots in the vegetable patch. You will always have fresh herbs in stock until the end of August.
