Do you always have to bring your potted plants inside in winter too? If you had hardy potted plants you could leave them outside.
Bringing Potted Plants Inside
November is the month to bring all your mobile and non-hardy potted plants inside for the winter. The plants then spend the months in the dark basement or in the conservatory until they go outside again. But you can easily save yourself this work if you get potted plants that don't mind cold temperatures. You can safely stay outdoors in winter and decorate your patio and garden. Here we would like to introduce you to five plants that are particularly well suited to staying outside in winter.
Hardy Potted Plants
- Korea fir: It is small, has a round crown and is very dense. Those who prefer longer needles can also get the dwarf pine. The trees remain green all year round.
- Houseleeks: They are not only indestructible outdoors, they also cut a fine figure in pots. Plants of different colors are particularly beautiful.
- Japanese maple: In beautiful red tones in autumn, it survives the winter perfectly in a pot and sprout again in spring.
- Holly: It convinces with yellow-green leaves that are evergreen. In autumn the holly gets red berries.
- Sugar Loaf Spruces: The shape is similar to the Sugar Loaf, hence the name. The spruce remains small and compact.
