  • 50 grams softened butter
  • 50 milliliters olive oil
  • 150 grams of beetroot
  • 300 milliliters warm water
  • Olive oil for the mold

Preparing beetroot bread

1Mix the flour well with the yeast and s alt. Then grate the beets. Now add the butter, olive oil and grated beetroot to the flour mixture and mix well.

2Now take the water. You must now add this until the dough is smooth and firm when kneading. However, you have to be careful when dosing the water. The dough should not feel wet. You can simply pour away excess water.

3After kneading, you need to put the dough back into a bowl and then cover it with cling film or a wet towel. Now the dough has to rise for about 60 minutes. When the time is up, you have to knead it again briefly and place it in a bread pan brushed with olive oil. The dough rises in it for another hour or two.

4If the rising time is almost up, you can preheat the oven to 180 degrees. After the end of the rising time, cover the bread loosely with aluminum foil and bake it for about 30 minutes. Then remove the aluminum foil and bake the bread for another 15 minutes.
