As the flowering period of the plant slows down, the stamens explode to continue multiplying. The origin is actually the country of China. Here it grows in nature up to a great height. In Germany it is listed as a houseplant, which is also said to have an air-purifying effect.

Put them in fresh and moist potting soil. Roots usually develop within two weeks. Now you can start caring for them or give away the newly drawn Glücksthaler to friends, family and acquaintances.
Important: Growing the cuttings in a jar is possible, but not recommended. The roots of the plant are very delicate and cantake damage when they are then planted.
Recognize diseases and pests on the Chinese money tree
A big advantage is that pests and diseases are not so common on a Chinese money tree. Even if houseplants are occasionally infested, the Glückstaler is usually spared.
However, too much moisture can damage the plant. Waterlogging can lead to root rot. As a result, the plant also dies. If the soil is very damp or the substrate is of poor quality, it is also possible that an infestation with the so-called fungus gnat occurs.
