Bridge height differences in the garden

Anonim

Gardens can be designed in many different ways, including different heights. This means that beds, paths, lawns or even terraces are laid out at different heights, or existing height differences in the garden have to be bridged.

On many plots of land, the house and terrace are a good deal higher than the garden itself. If this is the case, then this difference in height must be bridged well. There are many different ways to do this.

  1. A natural transition is probably the best option. For example, laid out as a rock garden that nestles into the landscape. The prerequisite is that you have enough space to run out of the slope.
  2. Palisade made of wood or concrete can be used very easily as vertical elements. Make sure there is some overhang at the top.
  3. A natural stone wall is also a very nice finish. Here, however, you have to work with foundation and drainage, so you should be familiar with it
  4. Placing so-called L-stones or plant elements such as precast concrete parts is also a simple and inexpensive option.

In any case, you should add a support, otherwise the ground could start to move.

Tip: If you have lawns on a slope, you can mow them with a brushcutter.
