How to grow dill correctly
Location & Ground:
Dill, as already mentioned, grows almost everywhere. However, it is best if you give it a sunny spot with many hours of light per day. The soil should ideally have a high humus content and be loose and permeable to water. The soil can also be slightly damp. If you have fairly compacted soil in your garden, you should loosen it up with coarse sand.
Extension:
Dill should always be sown in mid-April. Then best in rows with a distance of about 20 centimeters. Give the seed about 1centimeters deep in the soil and lightly cover it with it. Then always water well so that the soil does not dry out. But prevent waterlogging, because the dill doesn't like that at all. You don't need to fertilize the dill.
Harvest & Store Dill
Dill, also known as dill or cucumber herb in Germany, can be harvested at any time. While you can easily store dill seeds in a dark container for quite a long time, you should only use the herb fresh. But you can also freeze it. When storing the seeds, make sure the jar is tightly sealed.
