After all, it is we who constantly have to get on our knees to remove all the weeds. And that's not really back-friendly gardening. But what has to be, has to be.

After all, weeds can compete with other plants for their habitat. As you can see, weeds in the garden not only look very unsightly, they can also damage your beautiful plants.

Do not use any chemicals
If you want your plants to stay nice and he althy, then it is important that you regularly destroy the weeds. However, you should stay away from chemical agents. Such means are used far too quickly. There are a few ways and means that can be used to remove weeds just as effectively and in a much more environmentally friendly way. Here are a few weed killing methods that you can use to get rid of the weeds that crop up in just about every garden.

Destroy weeds - without chemicals!

» Seed weeds:
You should always pull these out by hand.

» Root weeds:
You should dig them up completely to remove them thoroughly. Just rip these out and they'll quickly reappear in the garden.

» Dandelion:
You can buy special dandelion stingers for this purpose. Alternatively, you can also dig up the dandelion. It's very important that you don't just cut or tear it off. If leftovers remain in the soil, a new plant will form from them.

» Nettle, field thistle, buckhorn, broadleaf plantain and ground elder:
You can weed these five weeds by hand or with a pointed object or spade cut out.

» Bark mulch, wood shavings or weed fleece:
Bark mulch or wood shavings ensure that weed growth is extremely curbed. If you don't want to bend down at all, you can also lay out a weed fleece. The weeds will not grow through this fleece! The great thing is that despite the fleece, the other plants still get enough water, nutrients and oxygen.

» Kill Weeds with S alt:
S alt is a great weed killer that's a natural alternative to chemical pesticides. Simply add enough s alt to a liter of water until it no longer dissolves. Then heat this water. Once that's done, you can pour the water over the weeds. The s alt contained in the water deprives the weed of moisture, causing it to die as a result. If you don't want the weeds to appear again so quickly, you should use Bullrich s alt from the pharmacy instead of normal s alt. A tablespoon in a liter of water is enough to get the weeds under control. Water your beds with this mixture and you will have peace of mind for a long time from the annoying weed.

Removing weeds regularly
As you can see, you don't always have to resort to chemicals straight away. You can also destroy the weeds with a few tools from the kitchen or with special techniques. If you want your garden to look perfect, however, you will need to get down to work and pull the weeds more often. Here's a little tip on how this sometimes works even better.

» Tip:
