Many have a conservatory. That's something really nice. Many put a lot of plants in there. Some even have tropical plants in the conservatory.
Bring the south home
Conservatories can be used in many different ways. While some only populate the conservatory with easy-care plants that sometimes tolerate cooler temperatures, other tropical plants are placed there to bring the south home.
Conservatory must be heated
A prerequisite for having tropical plants in the conservatory is that the conservatory can be heated. Tropical fruits in particular need it warm. For some, temperatures around 12 to 15 degrees are enough, others want to feel heat above 20 degrees to thrive properly. But that also means that the heating always has to be on during the cold season so that the plants can grow.
Enjoy tropical plants from your own harvest
Many hobby gardeners are particularly fond of tropical fruits that can be cultivated perfectly in the conservatory. Papaya, mango or lychee thrive in a warm and bright conservatory. If you want to try it out, you should find out exactly what conditions the individual tropical plants need before you buy it. So you will have a lot of fun with it and if it is tropical fruits, you can taste them from your own harvest.
