When winter finally gives way to spring and nature awakens, many gardens are still very bare. Not if you create a flower meadow.
Planting bulbs in autumn
Only coniferous trees and the grass are already green in spring. But there are often no colorful flowers to be seen, unless you have planted extra groups of flowers in the beds. If you have a large lawn, you may find it very boring right now and would like to add a few splashes of color. It's very easy. However, you have to prepare for this in the autumn. That's when flower bulbs are planted, which then bloom wonderfully in spring.
Bulbs can stay in the ground
Crocuses, tulips, daffodils or even checkered flowers are ideal for giving the meadow a little touch of colour. Of course, you can also put the onions together in groups, which has a more intensive effect. Be careful not to arrange the flowers too symmetrically. The earth is simply cut out with an onion planter, the onion goes into the planting hole and the gap is closed again. The soil should be well watered beforehand. In the spring you can look forward to the early flowers. And best of all, the bulbs can stay in the ground. Caution: Do not mow the lawn until the flowers have dried up.
