Watering in the greenhouse - How do you water correctly?

Anonim

Casting is not that easy. Not in the garden and certainly not in the greenhouse. Only those who water their vegetables correctly will benefit in the long term. The only question is: How do you water correctly?

Water sufficiently once a week
It is best if you water on a sunny day, as this ensures that the vegetables will last until the evening has dried again. In summer it is particularly important that the vegetables get enough water. You should make sure that this does not only happen on the surface, but that the water can penetrate to the roots. For this reason, it is better to water sufficiently once a week, which corresponds to about 20 liters per square meter, instead of just a little every day. This way more water gets to the roots and the vegetables can develop splendidly.

Air the greenhouse thoroughly every day
For fruit vegetables such as tomatoes and cucumbers, you should always take stale water out of the barrel and never wet the leaves, so only from below to water. A greenhouse gives a big head start, especially for tomatoes and cucumbers in spring. By the way, always remember to ventilate the greenhouse thoroughly once a day, even if it's cold outside.
