Make your own Easter arrangement - 2 instructions

The following text introduces two simple but impressive Easter arrangements with instructions.

Easter arrangement with floral foam

Required Materials:

  • 2 x floral foam (rectangular shape)
  • Long flower box (e.g. made of wood or metal)
  • Various cut flowers such as tulips, grape hyacinths, ranunculus
  • Moss
  • Fine knots
  • Decorative bunnies on a stick or feathers
  • Various Green Twigs

Instructions

➩ Step 1:
First you have to cut the floral foam so that both pieces fit side by side in the long container.

➩ Step 2:
Then soak them in water. Place the plug-in mass on the water (do not press) and wait about 1-2 minutes. When saturated, it can be used.

Tip: The water should be around 18°C and be in a large container so that the floral foam fits in easily.

➩ Step 3:
If the planter you choose is not waterproof, you may want to line it with some plastic wrap before inserting the floral foam.

➩ Step 4:
Then cut the flowers at an angle with a sharp knife and then arrange them in the floral foam. Note that the flowers are of different lengths.

➩ Step 5:
Now evenly drape the selected branches or twigs and the greenery on the floral matrix. You can fill in the gaps and the edges with moss so that the foam is no longer visible.

➩ Step 6:
To give the whole thing an Easter touch, you can now stick decorative elements such as Easter bunnies on a stick or feathers into the floral matrix .

➩ Step 7:
Waterthe Easter arrangement regularly. Because the plug-in compound must never dry out. Once dry, it cannot absorb any more liquid.

Easter wreath with bulb flowers

Required Materials:

  • a large cylindrical glass bowl
  • a small cylindrical glass bowl
  • a thick twig (about 3cm thick) with many small branches
  • white acrylic paint + thick brush
  • Decorative stones in natural colours, different sizes
  • fresh potting soil
  • Bellflowers in saucer
  • Hyacinths in saucer
  • Grape hyacinths with onions
  • brown wrapping paper
  • white gift ribbon
  • craft glue
  • Decoration (bird's nest with bird eggs, bird, other Easter figure)

Instructions

➩ Step 1:
To prepare, paint the branch completely white the day before with white acrylic paint and a brush and let it dry completely.

➩ Step 2:
Place the small glass bowl in the large glass bowl. With one hand you hold the branch in the middle of the small bowl, with the other you fill a large part of the different sized stones around the branch into the bowl so that the branch gets a firm footing and no longer wobbles.

➩ Step 3:
Spread the remaining stones on the bottom of the large bowl. They will help prevent waterlogging later.

➩ Step 4:
Now put some potting soil over the stones, first in the front area. Take the bluebells out of the saucer and place the bluebells on top. Then fill the bowl up with potting soil so that the flowers will hold.

➩ Step 5:
You can plant the tall hyacinths behind the branch. These really stand out here as they are the biggest flowers of all. When planting, proceed exactly as described above.

➩ Step 6:
It is best to plant the grape hyacinths in different places at the end. Pay attention to an even distribution in the bowl. Then you will get a particularly nice result.

➩ Step 7:
Once you have placed all the flowers, cut a strip of wrapping paper which should be as wide as the large glass bowl is high and slightly longer than the circumference. Wrap the paper around the shell and secure with some craft glue. If you like, you can tie a bow over the wrapping paper.

➩ Step 8:
To make the arrangement specialTo make it Easter, you can finally put a small bird's nest with decorative eggs on the branch like a small bird in the nest.

Tip: The flowers should only be watered in moderation.
