Lavender syrup made quickly with 4 ingredients

For about 0.5 liters of lavender syrup you need:

  • 200 g sugar
  • 150 - 200 ml water
  • 2 tablespoons dried or 5 tablespoons fresh lavender
  • Juice of half a lemon

Preparation

Put the water, sugar and lemon juice in a saucepan and bring to the boil, stirring, until the sugar has completely dissolved. From this point, the sugar syrup should continue to boil for another 5 to 10 minutes.

Now add the lavender and let the mixture rest. With fresh lavender you should let the mixture steep for at least a day, with dry lavender about three hours is enough.

➥ Step 3:
After the brewing time, strain the lavender syrup, let it boil again and then fill it into clean, hot rinsed bottles.

The lavender syrup can be kept refrigerated for up to 3 months.
