Common poppies, marguerites or cornflowers are a must
To create a flower meadow, simply prepare a bed that you have specially chosen for it. Basically, it is advisable that you plan paths in the flower meadow. This not only looks beautiful, you can also take care of the flower meadow much better. The flower mixtures are available in the hardware store or from the gardener. These mixtures are already ready and provided with the most common seeds. Corn poppies, marguerites or cornflowers should not be missing. The soil is loosened and slightly raked. Then the flower meadow seeds are scattered and lightly trampled on. Incidentally, five to ten grams of seeds per square meter are quite sufficient.
Some varieties will disappear over time
You should always water sufficiently during the growth phase. It is then eaten at the end of July and in autumn. Many of the flowers keep seeding themselves. You should therefore avoid mowing with the lawn mower. Over the years, weaker varieties gradually disappear, so the diversity of species decreases. But that's not a problem, because you can reseed the flower meadow at any time by buying the varieties that are missing from your flower meadow and that you would like to have.
