Trees naturally grow straight, but every now and then a tree grows crooked. Then you have two options.
Basically trees always straight grow upwards. Only if the tree is crowded by other plants or is in the shade, although it needs a lot of sun (especially young plants), can it happen that the tree begins to lean shortly after planting. Here you have two options.
Tip 1: Move the tree
Either reposition it, which is not recommended as it will cause unnecessary stress on the tree, or tie it down.
Tip 2: Tie down the tree
For this purpose, a stable stake should be placed at least 20 centimeters deep in the ground, directly in front of the trunk, but where the wind usually comes from. Now all you have to do is tie the trunk to the stake.
It is best to use natural bast, which is flexible and yet stable. Other materials could become detached over time and the tree would grow crooked again. Care should also be taken not to damage the bark. Tied in this way, the tree can stand for a number of years before it is strong enough and steered in the right direction.
