For years the sandbox in the garden served as a playground for the children. But children grow into people and at some point the sandbox becomes superfluous. But what to do with it? The easiest way is to dissolve it and make a lawn out of it. But not the most imaginative. Alternatively, why not convert the sandpit into a rock garden?
The sandy soil is ideal for planting plants that like sandy soil and therefore dryness. And what could be better than a rock garden?
And this is how it works:
- The wooden border is simply removed, the sand slowly runs out and offers a natural shape.
- Now the area can be equipped with stones and plants and in no time at all the kids' sandpit has become a rock garden.
- If you add humus-rich soil to the sand, you have the right base for a vegetable patch.
You can see that there are a number of ways to create something new with little effort and without having to give up the old.
