A real hobby gardener knows exactly where which bulb flowers are planted in the garden. But what if bulb flowers disappear?
Bulb flowers can disappear over time
In spring we all look forward to the first heralds of spring sticking their heads out of the ground and showing us their beauty delight. Tulips, daffodils and crocuses are the flowers that get us excited for spring. Or maybe you've found yourself missing certain strains over the years, even though you're pretty sure they should be there. This phenomenon is widespread and not uncommon. There are two reasons why bulb flowers just disappear.
When onion flowers disappear - 2 causes
- Stamina: Not every type of onion has the same stamina as the other. While some are still sprouting after ten years, others have already disappeared after three years. This is completely normal and it is partly due to the respective variety or the soil. By the way, it's no use digging up the bulbs in the summer.
- Mice: There are flower bulbs that voles eat. It is noticeable when certain varieties are no longer available, but others are. Because mice are picky too. You don't like every bulb flower.
