If you like spicy food, then you probably also like chili peppers, don't you? You can easily harvest these yourself.

Chili plants bloom in winter
You can try and, with a bit of luck, get a harvest, but the plants thrive better indoors, ideally in a greenhouse or conservatory. There they even bloom in winter and, with good care, bring many fruits to light in the following year. The plant does not like drafts at all and you should not overdo it when watering. Keep the chili plant moderately moist as that is how it likes it best.
Spray chilli plants
To prevent aphids from appearing, you should spray your chilli plant with distilled water at least twice a week. You have to make sure that the water gets everywhere, including the underside of the leaves. But don't think that spraying will make you neglect watering. In February you should then prune the shoots vigorously and transplant the chili plants into a larger pot.
