The times when only bratwurst and steaks were grilled are long gone. Nowadays, various vegetables are also often placed on the grid, including courgettes, for example.
The elongated fruit balls can be filled, sliced or marinated and roasted on the grill. The variety of preparation ideas is great. We would like to introduce you to three different recipes here.
Satisfied faces and filled plates
You can marinate the zucchini before grilling or after, depending on your needs. Grilled courgettes with a hearty filling are also a welcome change from sausages, meat skewers or steaks.
❶ Season unmarinated zucchini at the table
➔ Ingredients
- 1 to 2 zucchini
- S alt, pepper, herbs to taste
➔ Preparation
Wash the courgettes and cut them into slices about 1 cm thick. You can then place the zucchini slices in a stainless steel grill pan (he althier than aluminum!) and then place them on the hot grid.
The zucchini slices will be cooked in about 5 minutes. At the table, everyone can then season the vegetable slices as they wish. In addition to s alt and pepper, chili, chopped garlic or herb s alt are also suitable. Fresh herbs such as rosemary, parsley and thyme should also be on the table.
❷ Spicy marinated zucchini - a hot tip
➔ Ingredients
- 1 to 2 zucchini
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 clove minced garlic
- S alt, pepper, possibly chilli
Optional herbs, such as rosemary and thyme
➔ Preparation
Make a marinade with the above ingredients and put the zucchini slices in it. Then let it steep for 2 hours. The marinated vegetable slices are grilled for about 5 minutes. Simply place your sliced and pickled courgettes on the grill or in a grill tray.
❸ Filled with bacon, vegetables or cheese
Sought after toostuffed zucchini from the grill. You can let your imagination run wild with the filling. Sliced tomatoes, feta pieces, grilled cheese or strips of bacon, for example, are all good. Simply hollow out the zucchini and then add the desired filling.
» Another tip: Cut the fruit lengthwise three times and insert slices of tomato, thin slices of feta or bacon into the cut slits. Place the zucchini filled in this way in a casserole (he althier than aluminum foil!), s alt, pepper and herbs over it. Then close the casserole and place it on the grill for about 15 minutes. Mmmm…
