Pansies usually only reach a height of 15 centimeters. In order for them to bloom beautifully, pansies must be cared for.
Pansies are hardy
They come in many different colours. Whether white or yellow, red or violet and every shade in between, these flowers conjure up color on the window sill, on the balcony and of course in the garden. The flowers are hardy and can therefore remain in the garden all year round. If the winter is very mild, they often start flowering as early as January and provide wonderful colors for a long time.
Caring for pansies
But in order for them to bloom profusely, they have to be cared for properly. And they are very easy to care for. Withered flowers should be removed regularly by plucking or cutting them off. You should also always cut out or tear out wilted or damaged leaves. This is how the pansies bloom and thrive for many months. If there is frost or snow in winter and the pansies are planted in the garden, they close the flowers and wait until it thaws again. This means for you that you do not have to lend a hand. Not even when the leaves are curling up.
