Ornamental shrubs that don't need pruning

Anonim

Many shrubs in the garden should be trimmed and trimmed regularly. On the one hand, so that they don't get too big, on the other hand, so that they are shaped. But there are also shrubs that should not be pruned, otherwise they will lose their beautiful natural growth. It can also happen that they no longer grow properly and become bald. With the following three shrubs, you should only cut individual shoots in an emergency if the shrub is getting too big. Otherwise just let it grow:

  1. Scented snowball: If you don't cut it, you will be rewarded with lush flowers. However, you may remove old or broken branches.
  2. Witch Hazel: It grows very large and should be given enough space when planting. The winter bloomer does not need pruning, otherwise the typical growth will be lost.
  3. Magnolia: Here, too, the shrub blooms more luxuriantly if you don't cut it. If you want to remove old branches, then you should do it in July or August.
