Whether it's a romantic meal or a celebration - without enough light, it's difficult to enjoy the evening hours in the garden pavilion. But these 4 ideas will help.
Spending time in the garden means a lot more than work. After all, a garden is not just for growing fruit, vegetables and herbs. That may have been the case in the past, but today a garden is much more than a cultivated area. Nowadays, the garden also serves as a place of retreat and relaxation. Just sitting and enjoying the beautiful sight of the garden - this is relaxation for body, mind and soul.
And even when it's dark, you can get that relaxing effect. You can achieve this, for example, by skilfully setting a few light accents here and there. And that has two advantages: on the one hand, you can stay in the garden much longer and, on the other hand, the lighting also creates atmospheric moments. Setting a few light accents here and there in the garden is not difficult at all. It is more difficult to illuminate special areas such as the garden pavilion. But there are of course a few creative solutions for this as well.
Ideas for beautiful gazebo lighting
❍ Idea 1 - Install ceiling/wall lights:
If you are just planning the garden pavilion, you should think about supplying it with electricity during your planning. This has the advantage that you can later equip it with a ceiling light or with wall lights. This is not only practical, it also looks really great if, for example, a pendant light is hanging from the ceiling in a garden pavilion or the sides of the pavilion are illuminated.
However, it is important that you not only look at the design when buying the lamps, but also make sure that the lamps are suitable for outdoor use. You can find a large selection of different outdoor lights, for example, at Funkelhaus.de. The great thing: The shop obtains the lamps directly from the manufacturer and can therefore offer them at particularly low prices.
❍ Idea no. 2 - set up lanterns:
If you like itIf you like romance, then candles are for you. And you have many options. For example, you can place lanterns on the table, hang them from the ceiling or place them on the floor. There are no limits to your creativity here. This also applies to the design of the lanterns. You can find 20 inspirations on what these can look like, e.g. on Deavita.com.
If you have children, it is better to use battery-operated candles. So nothing can happen if, for example, a candle falls over while romping. By the way: Lanterns are always wonderful patio lighting.
Tip:
A hanging candlestick with lanterns, for example, looks particularly beautiful (see example on Amazon.de). Such a chandelier not only provides warm light in the pavilion, it can also be easily redecorated depending on the occasion and season.
❍ Idea No. 3 - Use solar lamps:
If the light from candles is not enough for you, then solar lamps are a good alternative. They charge themselves throughout the day and then provide atmospheric moments of light in the dark. These are available (e.g. at Weltbild.de) as table lamps, hanging lamps and garden plugs and represent great garden lighting without electricity.
If you put a few solar lights around the pavilion and maybe also hang a solar lamp or two on the ceiling of the pavilion, then it should really be sufficiently illuminated. At dusk, everything starts to glow on its own, making the garden pavilion a real eye-catcher.
❍ Idea 4 - Hang up fairy lights/rope lights:
Light chains aren't just for the Christmas tree. A garden pavilion can also be wonderfully illuminated with it. Especially at garden parties, for example, this lighting always works very well. It is entirely up to you which variant you choose. The important thing is that you make sure that the fairy lights are also suitable for outdoor use.
Tip:
Do you have a very simple string of outdoor lights lying around, but don't want to hang them up in your garden pavilion because they are too simple? Then simply spice it up. For example with wool or crochet yarn. You can find instructions on how to do this on Youtube.com.
