Tall trees that are in the neighbor's garden and give your own garden so much shade that you don't want are often a point of contention in court.

Minimum distances must be observed
It's even worse when nothing grows or even breaks due to the shadow cast. Are there any options here and if so, which ones? This is a very difficult matter, because of which many lawsuits have already been conducted. The law says that the neighbor must keep the minimum distances to the neighboring property.
Don't just cut down trees
However, if you find that these distances have not been maintained, then you can request regular pruning. Since trees are subject to very special protection, it is also not permitted to simply cut them down.
Accept Shadow
Jurisprudence says that while reaping the benefits of he althy, cool air in a garden, there must also be trade-offs from shade or leaf fall.
