We know that spiders are useful and harmless creatures, but many of us still don't like it when they get too close - especially the bigger ones.
You can move around freely in the garden, so they usually don't bother you. But when they nest on the patio or in the garden shed, there's often no choice but to run away screaming and find a brave person to remove the spider.
Do not kill spiders
Some will hit you with their slippers or fly swatter, but you shouldn't do that. There's another way. Spiders aren't dangerous and they rarely jump at you.
How to catch the spiders
To remove a spider that gets too close, for example on the patio table or in the garden shed, get a glass and a piece of paper. Put the glass over the spider and slide the sheet of paper under it, find a safe place and release it again. And the spider problem is solved.
